As a member of case management was leaving the hospital one evening, she encountered an act of compassion and language of caring. A young mother was leaving after a difficult discharge of her child. Chris stayed with her in the lobby. She listened, demostrating compassion and empathy. Chris asked the social worker to help in getting the mother home. Chris' acts of kindness eased a very difficult moment for this young mother.
