My love was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma within 3 weeks of a lump appearing in his neck. He was admitted to the hospital for a high fever and cellulitis in his lower leg. With his mind still trying to come to terms with his diagnosis and being apprehensive about starting chemotherapy, our nurse Chris was very plain spoken and told him stories to help him rest easy and let him know what he was doing every step of the way. When my love had a bad reaction to IV medication, Chris was calm and took charge to assemble all needed personnel while not panicking himself. His calm demeanor was amazing, and his take charge knowledge helped so much. I cannot even express how his jovial manner and stories made us feel calmer and more comfortable during this trying time. Knowing my love was in good hands allowed me to leave for a couple nights to take care of my daughter and get some rest.
The staff here are amazing, but Chris really stood out by making a crisis into a speed bump on the way to recovery.
