Chris is the kind of nurse I strive to be. She is compassionate, thorough and competent. She takes time with her patients. She is never rushed. Her patients never feel as though she has something else going on - as we often do when working the floor. She makes sure needs are met, but then goes above and beyond to make sure patients and families are satisfied, know what will happen next and by educating them, makes sure everyone understands. She is never assuming or judgmental and gives good care to everyone she meets. She is helpful to co-workers, visitors and everyone she encounters. Assessments are thorough, noticing minor details and getting to know all aspects of her patient's physical and emotional needs. Chris is a team leader and helps to train new staff.
