A family was involved in a high-speed motor vehicle accident and the Mom presented as a stat c-section for abruption. The baby was born and flown to a children's hospital. The Mom and Dad were both admitted to ICU. After the Dad was discharged and mom was transferred to the maternity unit for evaluation, the baby had a catastrophic incident and coded. The baby expired with parents at the bedside, in spite of their own injuries.
Chris was the Mother's day-shift nurse. He stayed over to be with the mother. He did this because the night nurse was 22 weeks pregnant, and he did not want her to endure the situation. Chris is awesome!
