The anesthesia team recognized Chris through the hospital Bravo system, "Chris saw the anesthesia team transporting an obese, developmentally delayed patient back to the OR. He not only assisted in the transport but also kindly stayed to help assist with the transfer to the OR table. He distracted/comforted the patient as anesthesia placed the IV and masked the patient. He was not assigned to our patient/OR, but saw a need and rose to the challenge. Thank you for being a wonderful team player Chris!"

This example of Chris going above a beyond for patient and staff safety is just one example of his nursing excellence. He is a service coordinator for the orthopedics team and has many daily challenges he supports his team and always does it with a smile and a great attitude. If I have to reach out to him with an ortho question, he is always responsive. Chris embodies all the CHOP ICARE Values--integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. He is truly a very valuable team member to the OR and to CHOP as a whole.
