I was taking care of a patient who came from the shelter. The patient had a rash and was suspected of bed bugs so he went directly to the shower in the ED. Unfortunately, sometime during his transition from ambulance to ED to his room, his belongings and wallet were lost. Chris was the NAM the day the floor was looking for his stuff and the patient was unable to discharge due to not having any belongings to go back to the shelter. Chris came back the next day with a backpack and several pairs of clothes to donate to the patient so that the patient would be able to discharge. He was also diligent about calling the ED and social work to make sure that the shelter would be able to take this patient without his ID in his possession. Chris is an amazing person and NAM. I feel that he often goes above and beyond for both the nurses and the patients.
