He was very thoughtful, kind, and caring to the core of his heart. Hats off to Chris for his competence and compassion.
In Chris, professionalism, experience, and compassion are packed up to the max. He deserves the DAISY Award!
As soon as he came on duty on the first day, he started taking the initiative to make sure that a good care plan was in place. Chris explained the care plan and its details. He told us about the reasons why things were moving slower in mom’s case and how the care team is limited in what can be done because of mom’s specific case.
Chris stepped up and got (the doctor) to talk to us, which was very soothing, and Chris also got orders for services that were still pending. He got more done for Mom that day than all the days put together. He stayed on top of every care item and followed up until it was done. He was very thoughtful, kind, and caring to the core of his heart. Hats off to Chris for his competence and compassion.
Besides being a very competent and excellent nurse who is so dedicated to patient care that he walks an extra mile to comfort them and patiently explains the situation while putting a positive spin on it. On the third day, he took the initiative to bring our concern to the doctor’s attention and explained our concerns, which was very helpful. The doctor then knew our feelings and, out of respect for them, drew out a favorable care plan. Chris got the ball rolling, and Mom started getting better, and our future started to look brighter. Thank you for having Chris on our care team. Knowing what Chris does for all his patients has given us a whole new respect for him. Chris is a gem! Three cheers for Chris!
Chris is also a very good teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient, therefore that makes him an excellent teacher. He helped us understand the complications of mom’s health condition. He explained every procedure and consequence there are, which gave us a clear picture to assist us in making our decision. On the third day, he went all out and talked about things that were even harder for us to hear or accept. He has a lot of knowledge about health problems, procedures, and outcomes, and he is not at all proud or stingy about sharing his knowledge. My family and I are very pleased with the professionalism, compassion, and openness with which he helped Mom get better and helped us cope with our frustration by throwing a positive light on things.
