Chris took care of my husband during the night. Our first night there when Chris walked into his room, it was like God sent me an angel. I was alone, and he comforted me during the hardest time of my life. He sat with me and listened to my stories and looked at pictures of him. He talked with me about how I wanted my last moments with my husband to be and promised that he would make that happen. The morning I was planning to have him extubated and I was really struggling, Chris saw me crying while walking in the hallway. He was punched out on his way home, but he stopped and pulled me into a conference room. He spent over a half hour talking with me, calming and reassuring me. Chris is truly an angel.
