Chris, our nurse, immediately eased our extreme anxiousness with his calm and compassionate demeanor.
On Sunday, my husband was immediately admitted to the hospital with a falling O2, BP and HR. He was so weak that he could barely move or talk. Chris, our nurse, immediately eased our extreme anxiousness with his calm and compassionate demeanor. Chris diligently helped us understand issues and ramifications by patiently explaining, repeating, and even giving us examples as my husband went through labs and testing.
A lot of folks were in and out of our little room while Chris patiently and calmly worked around them. Chris kept up with the doctors' plans and made sure we stayed in communication and understood what was going on. He understood the stress we were feeling and continued to ease it as best as possible. Now four days, later we are still in Norton Brownsboro, and I still remember the outstanding care we received that day and evening from Chris. It takes a unique and special person to meet the demands of the Emergency Room while families and patients are in trauma. Families like ours were scared and felt helpless.
Other families have to wait to be seen and aren’t in pleasant moods. Chris faced those situations with strength and calmness. He demonstrated skills in emergency procedures and showed knowledge in a multitude of situations he faced every hour that day. My hat goes off to Chris. Thank you.
