Chris Vanstone, RN

Recently, a patient wrote a note regarding her care at this hospital. The patient was mentally challenged and had come in with seizures. The patient became teary-eyed while Chris was caring for her and told him, “thank you for being so nice and treating me like a human.” She revealed that earlier that day at a store, some young men had spoken negatively to her calling names - which was upsetting. Chris took the time to listen, provide emotional support, and kindness to her. As Chris told her story later, he also got teary-eyed and said that he felt so bad for her. One act of kindness made her day and reminded him of why he is a nurse!

The patient wrote this note: “Compliment about White Rock Lake Hospital in Dallas Texas. The hospital is the best for all your health. Very caring, amazing, concerned, lovable, respectful, and blessed nurses and doctors. I give White Rock Lake Hospital a billion thumbs up and then some for all their hard work and saving their best to save lives. Go White Rock Lake Hospital. God Bless You All!"
