In October, our lives were changed. A medical emergency resulted in us being in surgery at Thomas Hospital. We were in an unfamiliar town and medical facility and the anxiousness we felt was overwhelming. The surgery was successful and we were placed in the Surgical ICU. I cannot say enough about the level of care my husband received at the hands of this extraordinary medical staff. Not only were the medical needs addressed but each one reached out on a personal level and made us feel as if we were surrounded by family. As much as I can say about the staff, I have to make a special mention of Chris Weinberg. I met Chris immediately after surgery in the ICU room and he came into our lives immediately. I can honestly say that he made a difference in a very frightening experience. He was thoughtful and caring, always respectful of us and our situation. He put in time and effort well above and beyond what their job description dictated. I looked up on Saturday from my spot in the ICU waiting room and saw Chris standing there. He was off that day but had come in to check on us. I cannot fathom that level of commitment and dedication in a job that is so demanding and stressful.

Chris Weinberg is a star that shines brighter in the galaxy of healers and we are grateful for his presence in our lives. We will never forget him. We love him.
