Christa embodies passion, kindness, enthusiasm, confidence, and clinical expertise. Christa always brings smiles and positive energy to the space and encourages others to embody positivity. She goes above and beyond to make sure that staff feel supported in providing the best and safest care to our patients. Christa proactively assesses post-op patients to anticipate needs and makes herself readily available to assist in patient emergencies. During a hemorrhagic emergency, Christa confidently stepped up to help PACU nurses run the MTP. After the patient was stabilized, Christa called a huddle to debrief the MTP to allow nurses to identify the strong points and opportunities for improvement. This shows that Christa is not only dedicated to our patients but also dedicated to the growth and development of our nursing team. Not only is Christa a knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive provider, but she is also highly engaged in the team. Christa joined the wellness committee as soon as she became a PACU NP and readily suggested opportunities to promote wellness and work-life balance. She additionally helped to start a new cultural food group where our team meets outside of work to share various cultural meals. Christa readily suggests opportunities for projects and process improvements. She truly shines as an NP and goes above and beyond to be a well-rounded, enthusiastic, and involved provider. We are so lucky to have her on our team!
