Christeen and her colleague were recognized as a duo when they demonstrated compassion in their communication and approach to a difficult clinical situation. A patient's wife nominated this well-deserving pair for the DAISY Award as they calmed her when her husband was having an adverse reaction post-anesthesia. They explained things and consoled her as she was very worried when she experienced a husband that was not himself. Christeen's nominator described that she was truly "helped during a difficult situation." Christeen and her colleague demonstrate the core of nursing: compassion and care!
