Christel Dodd, RN
My loved one was at Monument Health for a procedure. While this procedure is somewhat common to doctors and nurses, it was our first time, and we were very nervous. Christel was the first face we saw in our room and the last face we saw before we left.
For our entire time in the hospital, Christel was professional, kind, and went above and beyond to meet our needs and make sure we had top-notch care. From the beginning, she looked into my loved one's records and made sure there were no holes. It was clear that she wanted to know my loved one's whole history so that they received quality care.
When we had a question, Christel took the extra time to explain things so that we understood. She checked in frequently and made sure that my loved one was comfortable as a patient but also made sure that I was comfortable.
Before we left, she went above and beyond, helping make our checkout process seamless. While wheeling my loved one out to the front door, I saw a long line of cars, and Christel waited with us to get us loaded into the vehicle.
She delivered care with a smile and took the time to get to know our story. She made us feel like valued patients, and not just another number on the books.
