Christen is that nurse! The one that smiles and brightens your day. We have a patient that has been with us for over two months. His recovery has been hampered by multiple complications. Because of this, his mental well-being has suffered greatly. She decided that he needed a change of scenery. She arranged for him to be able to go outside. This sounds easy but it is in no way simple. She coordinated with MD, PT, RT, PCT, and her fellow nurses, and was able to place him in a special chair. One beautiful spring afternoon the patient spent 30 minutes with the sun on his face. It was the best medicine he could have ever received. All because she is that nurse. The one that brightens your day. She exemplifies a true DAISY Nurse.
