In August, during a pediatric birthday party, Ms. Nieto demonstrated what it truly means to be an extraordinary nurse—one who prioritizes the needs of others, regardless of the circumstances. The heat was intense, and all of Ms. Nieto's patients were outside in the sweltering weather. While other nurses remained indoors, Ms. Nieto went outside to ensure that all her patients were comfortable and well cared for.

One patient was sweating profusely, so without him even asking, she brought him ice packs to help cool him down. In addition to this thoughtful gesture, she played his favorite song to lift his spirits, aiming to bring some happiness despite the heat. She also made sure I had the opportunity to go inside to use the restroom, all while continuing to monitor and care for her patients.

On that day and every day, Ms. Nieto has proven herself to be not only attentive and dedicated but also compassionate, always putting her patients' well-being at the forefront. After I returned from the restroom, she checked in on me to ensure I was comfortable and well taken care of.

Ms. Nieto is an excellent nurse who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her patients receive the best care possible. She also works seamlessly with the team, ensuring that everyone involved in her patients' care provides the highest level of service—such as when she needed assistance with helping me to the restroom.
