Christi always takes amazing care of her patients, and this patient was no exception to that. She received report on the most critical patient in the unit and hit the ground running immediately. She maintained multiple machines, devices, and lifesaving medications with ease.

While managing every aspect of this patient's medical treatment, she also included the family members every step of the way. She explained complex medical devices and procedures while also comforting the family over their sick loved one. Despite knowing the patient's prognosis was poor, she persisted in providing the best possible care. After all treatments had been exhausted and the patient, unfortunately, passed away, Christi comforted the family and cried with them as they faced their grief.

When working with such critical patients, it can be easy to avoid emotional attachments, but Christi went above and beyond and showed empathy to the family. Christi's loving heart and genuine compassion have always been evident, but witnessing her kindness with this patient and family was truly inspiring.
