My son arrived on Galter 4. This was the day after he was admitted to Northwestern. This was not his first time at the hospital, as he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in three years prior. Throughout my son's diagnosis and treatment, the entire team has been fantastic.

He is now taking his final steps, and Christian could not have been more considerate, professional, and caring, helping him and our family as we cross this bridge. Christian was with us for two days. My son is now transferring to another facility for in-patient hospice care.

I can't imagine having had a better guide than Christian on this painful journey.

---

Our son has been treated at Northwestern Hospital for almost 3 years for GBM. He was readmitted a couple of days ago for palliative, comfort care. He went from the Mezzanine to Galter 4. The assigned nurse is Christian.

In addition to frequently checking on our son to make sure that he is comfortable, Christian asked me what foods and beverages he prefers. In addition to offering the food available to patients in the hospital, he went out of his way to get my son club soda (he may have gone to a convenience store) and offered to add my son's order to the food that he was ordering for his own lunch.

He has been consistently concerned about making sure that our son's pain medication dosage meets his needs. Christian is truly exceptional!

Thank you, Christian, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
