Christian asked me how long I have been waiting and I told him 13 hours for 2 days and he said: “Let me see what I can do for you.”
I was by myself in a wheelchair. I got up from the wheelchair and was hopping on one foot because I had an infection in my toe. I was holding on to the wheelchair and hopping to the bathroom. This was in the ER waiting room. Christian Oba had seen me and asked if I could sit down and he would push me to wherever I was going. I had just wanted to use the restroom. He pushed me there and I told him thank you and I’m probably leaving after this. I placed a call to my wife and told her to pick me up due to the fact I’d been waiting 13 hours in total to get seen.
I started in urgent care the day before then I was sent down by the doctor there to receive treatment for my toe infection which turned out to be a bone infection which they had to amputate my toe due to the infection. So, Christian asked me how long I have been waiting and I told him 13 hours for 2 days and he said: “Let me see what I can do for you.” Let me just say I didn’t have much hope. But sure enough within 10 min the ER head nurse came out and called my name. So, I just wanted to praise him and tell him thank you for getting me in a hall room.
If he had not done that, I would have left for sure and probably not gotten seen. I probably could have gone septic or the infection could have gotten worse and I wouldn’t have just lost my toe but maybe my foot. So, Christian, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, kind Sir, and may you continue doing the good work you are doing for others.
