The patient came onto service 2 weeks ago and was quite resistant to our services, but Christina was able to gain his trust, and he grew to be more receptive and accepting of her care. Knowing that her patient lives alone and has no family and had a birthday coming up, Christina made sure to celebrate his day by making him two sugar-free protein desserts. He really loved them. Her ability to gain his trust as well as go out of her way to make him a diabetic-friendly treat for his birthday is a clear indicator of how Christina lives our values of kindness, generosity, and compassion.
