Christina was assigned as my primary nurse the day I was actively laboring and trying to deliver my twins. Christina was at my bedside the entire time to not only encourage and root for me as I was going through painful labor, but also suggested new ideas and positions that would help progress, but also decrease my discomfort. She advocated for me and reassured me that I was always making the right decision for not only myself but my babies. After my C-section, in triage, I expressed how I was feeling to Christina physically. She, without missing a beat, acted and quickly diagnosed my life-threatening complication. She was quick to assemble the care team I had for my C-section and run the smoothest, most well-oiled machine I have seen, even as a nurse myself. She was thorough with examining me later on to determine that my complication was not yet resolved. When I was rushed into emergency surgery, she was by my side not only continuing to reassure me and educate me, but she also comforted my mother and husband, who were scared for my safety. After being rushed to have surgery, she was at my side and wouldn’t leave. I feel as if Christina saved my life. She is attentive, knowledgeable, reassuring, kind, and so much more that makes excellent qualities in not only a nurse but a person. Thank you for keeping me safe and comfortable, Christina.
