Christina was my first manager at NCH. She made me feel so welcome as I had relocated to Florida from Ohio with no friends or family. Her door was always open for any staff to come vent, cry, laugh - whatever was needed. She exposed me to many opportunities for involvement in the hospital system. I faced many challenges within the first few months and she was always supportive and helpful. Christina continues to be a positive influence in her new position as Magnet Coordinator. Now the entire hospital will be able to experience her wonderful encouragement and knowledge. No matter the situation or question, she is always willing to help or find the resources to do so. Today she is a huge mentor and leader. Christina always has a smile on her face and genuinely cares about everybody. Christina is the reason I decided to accept the position on 6 North at NCH. I have become a better nurse because of her patience and encouragement.
