I want to recognize Chris Giannamore for what I will call the "spell-binding impact" she has on patients. This is a quality that cannot be acquired or duplicated because it is simply innate. Each day we strive to chart a better course in our patients' treacherous journeys of life. With her heartwarming spirit, Chris makes their journey bearable. So many patients express to me how much Chris has helped to ease their discomfort. I could throw together words like compassionate, dedicated, caring, kind, but that would not fully demonstrate the confluence of character, nature, and skill, which render Chris so effective, even with the most challenging of patients. What she has is an instinctual way of knowing what to do, knowing what to say, to soothe each patient. My gratitude to her, and for her is immense, beyond what I can express in words.
