...Christina was knowledgeable and performed her technical duties very well. Much more important though, was that she exhibited an extraordinary passion about her work and her patients. As I was preparing for discharge, she repeatedly reviewed practices for catheter management and diabetes treatment. After I left she discovered I had forgotten one prescription. She could have waited to handle that issue today, but instead she called my cell and then the pharmacy to fax the script to CVS last evening. Some of her passion manifests itself in what she does, but primarily it emerges in her attitude. You have a real gem here in Ms. Kowl.

Sometimes I get discouraged about the younger generation's work ethic and attitudes, but when I see a young person such as Christina Kowl in action as she was December 2-3, my sense of optimism rebounds. For this she should be commended.
