I am writing to formally recognize and congratulate Christina Jackson, RN, “Tina,” for the exceptional care of our father, who received care at NNMC.

Our father and mother were involved in a terrible motor-vehicle accident, and our father lost his dear wife to her injuries a week later at UNM. During this challenging time, Ms. Christina Jackson went above and beyond her duties.

We are deeply moved by Tina's care, kindness, and support. She was our favorite and a ray of sunshine in this sad situation. Tina's sweet voice, smile, and laughter at Dad's dumb jokes were so comforting. We love her.

Ms. Christina Jackson demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Her dedication to our father is truly admirable, and she set a high standard for nursing care.

We are thankful from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible care Tina provided during this time. We know that nursing can be exhausting, but her kindness and compassion never wavered.

Dad will never forget how Tina paid careful attention to his perineal care. He joked about it and dramatized it all out, which made us laugh with him. Tina did more than just treat Dad with empathy, but she made him feel safe and human during a very disheartening time.

She even learned some Navajo words. 

Tina also went above and beyond to ambulate Dad up and down the halls frequently and to retrieve physical therapy bands for him to exercise with. Tina even looked after his belongings and called the ER for a missing bag, which was found later.

Tina listened actively, understood our concerns, and provided clear feedback.

Thank you for having such a dedicated nurse in the Pediatric Unit. Tina is an amazing nurse, and the world needs more people like her. May God bless her and keep her safe.

Tina is truly appreciated, and we are grateful for the impact she made on our dad's care.
