I had a hip replacement done at a different hospital and I had problems before being discharged home. They should have sent me to a rehab center, but they did a quick fix and sent me home. I went to my nephrologist, but I still needed help. I went to Southlands ED, and they placed a foley catheter. They told me to return to the ED if I could not get an appointment with a urologist.

I went back to Southlands ED and Christina was my nurse. My daughter told Christina about our problems with the entire process, not having good follow up, and feeling nervous about the weekend coming up with no plan in place. Christina took our fears and concerns to heart and spent more than 30 minutes on the phone making a follow-up appointment with urology. Because of Christina, my wife no longer felt overwhelmed with coordinating the appointment, and my daughter was not as worried that my kidneys would suddenly top and I would die.

Christina took the time to write down all of the details for our appointment and chose an office close to our house so we wouldn’t have to drive far. We are so very thankful for Christina.
