I was transported from Summersville Regional Hospital. Immediately after having my infected Gallbladder removed at SRH, a gallstone was stuck in a duct. SRH could not remove it so they sent me to CAMC. When I arrived, I was so sick, crying and in severe pain. The doctor was busy in the ED. The RN contacted him and asked if she could give me something for pain. He said "yes". She held my hand and told me everything was going to be all right. She got me a cold washcloth and did things for me that is not required from a RN to do. I have never met a nurse that was so compassionate and understanding. CAMC should be honored and proud to have a person like that on their team. I nominate her for the DAISY award, because she truly deserves it.
