My mother was admitted for testing and observation. It was during this stay that we met a nurse named Christina Pontbriand, RN. Christina was assigned to my mother’s care. It was the exceptional level of care that has led me to reach out. Often, we encounter someone who goes above and beyond expectations, as it was with Christina. For the past 1.5 years, my mother has been to countless doctor visits and has even been hospitalized on occasion. It was Christina’s dedication and exceptional level of care that uncovered a medical condition that had gone unnoticed for an extended period of time. My mother was diagnosed with a narrowing of her artery in the arch of the Aorta. When Christina was caring for Mother she was taking my mother’s blood pressure and discovered that there was almost half the difference in the readings from the right arm to the left arm. As it was explained, it isn’t uncommon for there to be a slight difference between the left and right arm; however, with Christina’s due diligence, the proper diagnosis was able to be made, and proper care could be followed. I want to send a proper thank you to Christina. Thank you for your unwavering dedication; it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for being reliable. I appreciate your due diligence so much! Christina put in 100%, and I see it: Christina made a difference in our lives.
