Christina cared for her the exact way we would have if we could have. Christina is a caring, loving, compassionate, and knowledgeable nurse.
Christina exceeded all expectations in compassionate care for our grandmother in her care during her last days of life. Christina took her time to listen to Grandma's wishes and helped guide the family through the next steps. With a big family with many opinions, that was no easy feat, but she listened to everybody and was very patient with each person. Her bedside manner was exceptional. No matter what our grandma's physical and mental condition was, she was gentle, caring, and loving. Our grandma went through different levels of consciousness, but no matter what level she was at, Christina treated her with love and compassion each and every visit. Always introduced herself, rubbed her arm, spoke with a calm, reassuring tone, always explained her care, and treated the family members present with the same respect. She has a special heart for the elderly.
She practiced collaboration by listening to everyone and working with the family to make the best choices for Grandma towards the end of her life, even when those choices were very difficult. We always knew Christina had our grandma's best interests in mind. Christina was very knowledgeable in her nursing skills and explained our options and how they would influence her condition. Christina had training on her day off and made a point to stop by to check in on Grandma and the family before she left the building.
Our grandma was 99 and still living in her home alone at the time she entered the hospital. As a family, we collaborated to make sure she was always cared for in the best way possible. When she entered the hospital, she needed care that we no longer could give her. Christina cared for her the exact way we would have if we could have. Christina is a caring, loving, compassionate, and knowledgeable nurse. While we wish the circumstances were different in the way we met her, we are so grateful for her and her loving care for our grandma in her last days of life.
