Christina Smalley always has gone above and beyond for us students. I am in my fourth semester now and she has been my absolute favorite since my first semester. She's like a school mom/cheerleader, she advocates for us, she makes extra time for us if we aren't free in her given times, she's always willing to just sit down and talk with us. Talk with us about the help we need in a certain class and shell try to break it down for us or she will just be an ear to talk to and confide in with encouraging words. The unconditional support she has given us all is absolutely incredible. I cannot describe in words how much I love this woman and how I am forever greatly for her!

So the beginning weeks of my fourth semester have been rough a bit. By my 5th week out of 4 classes, I had taken 9 med math quizzes and still had one to go. In 2 of the classes I had to take the quiz twice, and the other two three times. By my fourth week, I just had my last third attempt to do and I went to her for some extra help beforehand. She worked sample problems with us, gave us keywords to look for, and made sure that we stuck with a method that worked for us and made sense to us.

Before going into the quiz she gave us a pep talk and we went in. By the time I was done she had to leave but she sent me an email telling me to let her know how I did as she was so sure I would pass. Pass I did, I emailed her to let her know and her response was that she had to pull over while driving to do a happy dance for me! I am not sure why but just knowing that she was that happy for me brought tears to my eyes after how stressed I was through all the med math's I had taken. That simple emailed response had brought me out of my slight stressed daze and put a smile on my face that I had finally done it and I could move on to the rest of the semester. I will never forget it.
