Christina is by far my favorite nurse to work with. Her enthusiasm and persistently happy demeanor inspire me to be a better nurse. She never complains, and always provides care above and beyond the standard, all while making it look effortless and seamless. She strives to provide the most personal and professional care to her patients, treating each one as a unique, important person.
I would love to pick a particular "above and beyond" example to elaborate on but honestly, it is every day. Every shift I work with her, I am left feeling in awe, and inadequate, because of the way I see her treating her patients and what she does for them. Christina's laugh is infectious and can often be heard across the unit. Her heart patients are inspired to ambulate, simply to come to the desk and visit with her. She arranges for the patients' favorite snacks, to FaceTime with families or anything else imaginable to make them smile, or at least make their day a little brighter.
Christina is acutely aware that she is often meeting people during some of the worst days of their lives and gives it her best to make those days a little brighter. Even as a coworker, my days are a little brighter with her around and CGSMC should be honored as I am to be associated with her.
