My mom was admitted to Rehab after a very stressful week post-heart surgery and post-stroke. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Christina, the RN. Even though it was 5:30 in the evening, Christina was friendly, positive, and upbeat, making my mom feel welcome. Christina is very empathetic, caring, thoughtful, and kind. It's who she is; she is very genuine, and it's impossible to miss how much she cares for her patients and their well-being.

Christina has a very gentle and welcoming personality. She chooses her words very carefully to make the patient and family members feel respected, cared for, and special. Christina has a natural ability to make everyone in her presence feel comfortable and loved. I have had a lot of recent experiences with hospitals with my mother-in-law and have never met anyone nurse as kind, caring, and thoughtful as Christina. She has raised the bar and set a new standard for how patients and family members should be treated in a hospital. She always takes the time to announce herself when entering the hospital room, explains what she is about to do, and makes sure the patient and family are not concerned or confused by her plan and actions. She takes the time to talk to the patient and make them feel special, like her family.

In summary, Christina is a very unique and special person and nurse. Her personality and skills are a natural gift/blessing that is extremely rare and very difficult to teach. Christina deserves to be praised and rewarded for her character as a person and as a nurse. Your team and hospital are blessed to have someone like Christina. Thank you for assigning Christina to care for my mom. I hope you highlight the importance of Christina's patient care to other nurses on your team, as she sets an excellent example for others to strive for.
