My father was a patient of Christina's. Because she took the time to get to know my father she was able to recognize when he was in extreme duress. One night he swallowed his partial denture. Christina was off for a few days and when she returned she saw that my father had changed a great deal. She called the doctor and insisted they check further. The dentures were in his throat resting on his larynx. He had emergency surgery to remove them and he is doing well. The doctor thinks that my dad had a neurological event on that Wednesday that caused him to swallow his denture.
We are grateful and thankful for excellent nurses such as Christina.
By the way, she was due to have her baby in 2 weeks!
