May 2026 Honoree
Christine Armstrong, BSN, RN
In March, I was admitted to Women’s and Babies Hospital for the delivery of my third child. A mix of emotions overcame me as labor began. Not wanting to repeat the same birth experiences as my prior two deliveries, I found myself anxious and uncertain about how the next few hours would go.
Christine took the time to listen to my concerns, identify my own desires that I couldn’t confidently articulate, and confidently communicate and carry out the plans we determined together.
Feeling heard, validated, and supported made this birth experience feel like a dream. Christine’s leadership and intentionality was a game changer and allowed my husband and I to finally enjoy and be present for the miracle of childbirth.
In addition to Christine, the entire care team made this experience special. The triage nurses who admitted me quickly, Dr. Hossler, who supported our plan, and Dr. Artuso, whose bedside manner was calm and reassuring.

Thank you, Christine, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
