Chris was a fellow ICU nurse in the past, so she is acclimated to the high-stress area and knows the importance of teamwork. She has been helping hands on the unit several times recently due to the increase in acuity of patients and staff limitations. Every single time she comes to help she goes above and beyond what is asked of her. She answers call lights and is warm and inviting to every patient. She goes into COVID rooms to help patients and nurses without question. She stocks rooms and supplies without being asked. She even cleaned the breakroom coffee pot and microwave just to be helpful instead of resting on her downtime. She is constantly moving and asking what she can do to help, and always has a smile on her face. She is kind and hardworking and considerate and she makes a difference every time she is here. Her compassion and commitment should be celebrated, at the very least she should know how appreciated she is by everyone here in the ICU.
