On our unit, there was a patient who was being discharged who was unable to afford his copays for medication. Chrissy, without hesitation, and without the patient knowing, provided the pharmacy with the amount of money needed to pay for the medications. This is the second time I have witnessed her reach into her own pocket to provide needed medication for her patients. Although, this act may seem small to some is huge on so many levels. Chrissy works endless over time to provide for her own family and without one second of hesitation was willing to provide a very needed item to a stranger in need. I witness day in and day out the time and care and compassion that she shows to her patients. Chrissy is a true caring nurse who is not only very skilled as a nurse but is an amazing human being and such an asset to the population we serve.
