Due to his nurse's discovery, they started the Lyme Disease protocol right away.
My husband fell ill on Wednesday. Usually, when he is sick, he goes to bed, but he always keeps his appetite. This time, he lost it. He had a slight fever, which I thought broke, so we didn't go to the doctor. I was wrong. He wound up on the floor between the computer chair and the wall, bruised and battered. He was having problems maneuvering. I figured at first that the aches and pains from the fever were the problem. I called my son the next day, and he took us to the Geisinger walk-in clinic. With the help of my walker (I broke my foot 2 years ago), he was maneuvering with slight guidance. The doctor said if G were his father, he would take him to LVHN. So here we are at LVHN, later that night, G got the severe shivers, and he was admitted. Unable to move, G was confined to the bed. Everyone was kind to us despite G's attitude due to his deteriorating condition. It is hard to be nice to someone who is not very nice to you. His nurse was not only able to show great empathy, but she also, through keen detective skills, spotted, among the bruises, the bullseye rash. Lyme's Disease takes 72 hours to present in the blood, but due to his nurse's discovery, they started the Lyme's Disease protocol right away. G improved right away. He made a miraculous turnaround. Thank you to his nurse and LVHN for continuing the care of my husband. Keep up the good work!
