When she looked at me, I had tears in my eyes. I told her I was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She was very sincere and genuine. She took the time to come back to my room during her own break to check in on me.
I was admitted to the hospital with cellulitis of the foot. They completed blood tests and found that I only had 3 pints of blood in my body, so I received a blood transfusion. Unexpectedly, they found a mass in my cervix, and I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. They then found a mass on my liver, and I was diagnosed with cancer here as well. They wanted to put kidney stents in my back to avoid kidney failure.

Cristine was the nurse who got me ready for the procedure. When she looked at me, I had tears in my eyes. I told her I was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She was very sincere and genuine. She gave me advice and options for treatment, which was very beneficial. She told me she would be back -- some people say that but never come back. She took the time to come back to my room during her own break to check in on me. She told me that I would more than likely be there for another couple of days, and then I was discharged that day, so I never had a chance to see her again.

I just want Cristine to know that even the little bit of time that she took meant a lot to me. I was in the room alone with some serious illnesses that seemed to come back to back. It touched me in such a big way for a perfect stranger to show me that they cared so much.
