Chris is selfless in every sense of the word. She is everything you would imagine a loving and caring nurse to be. Chris always goes the extra mile for teammates and for her patients. She takes it upon herself to volunteer for nursing education to make her a more competent well-rounded nurse. If her patient needs something she will do everything in her power to get it for them. She is the nurse who really listens to everything you say and makes sure you recognize it. As I write this nomination, there are no techs on the floor of the department due to their need in the sitter role. Most of the team is carrying on per norm, managing their own patients and rooms, but not Chris. Chris is taking it a step further by stocking each and every patient room, in addition to also rounding on the patients and caring for their every need. Never asking or expecting anything in return, she does what is right for the department and I want her to know it doesn't go unnoticed. She is a strong team member and we are lucky to have her.
