Christine championed reproductive health and was on the front line in overcoming female genital mutilation through health education and engaging the communities.
Christine is an outstanding Public health specialist and Nurse Educator who has impacted greatly the development of Nursing, midwifery, and Public health. She spearheaded the training of Comprehensive Nurses at Masaka School of Nursing and later the Public heath School for nurses and midwives in Uganda. She championed reproductive health and was on the front line in overcoming female genital mutilation through health education and engaging the communities. She has been very instrumental in strengthening the capacity of nurses and midwives in leadership through coordinating scholarships for midwifery and nursing tutors from hard-to-reach areas. She is a role model nurse/midwife that Uganda as a country is proud of and was awarded a medal by the President of the Republic of Uganda.
