My husband underwent open-heart surgery. We have small children who were not only worried about their dad being ill in the hospital but also were missing out on time with both parents around the holidays. Christine was always so kind and upbeat.

The transfer out of the ICU was delayed, so our children were too young to be able to visit on Christmas. Christine took the initiative to brainstorm and discuss with her manager ways to get my children to be able to visit their dad, including wheeling him to the unit doors so the kids could at least see him.

It genuinely touched me that she cared enough to go that extra mile to make Christmas special for our kids.
