I would like to share how impressed I was by Chris Keegan’s bedside manner and consistency to make sure I was comfortable. She educated me on the available resources and had all of my questions answered. It was clear to me that even after all her time working as a nurse, she has not become complacent. She works extremely hard, and follows all of the protocols.

Within minutes of meeting her as she was starting her shift, she began asking me if I was talked to about certain care items or shown certain help packets such as the incision cleaning kit or breastfeeding packet. She was the first to write my medication on the whiteboard. She included the times that I was due so I knew when my next dose was available for me to take if needed. She made sure to check on us regularly and offered to take our baby for a few hours so we could get some rest if needed. I never thought I would even consider it, but she made us feel so comfortable and built trust with us, so we ended up taking her up on the offer for a few hours on the second night. She went above and beyond for us. Even the little thoughtful things she did stood out to me, like wrapping my water cup in a diaper to keep it from sweating all over the table and all over me. It was so sweet and helpful. I hope she can be recognized for her hard work and dedication. It was truly appreciated and meant so much to us as we welcomed our first child into the world. Thank you.
