Christie is very enthusiastic and dedicated to the Infection Prevention Team in SICU. She has developed standard work, educated her peers and house floats and audits compliance to the improvements made. She carries a high level of care and expectation for herself and others.
Christie is also a very active member of the Ethics Committee. She is also a preceptor and charge nurse on the SICU Unit. She continuously looks at solutions to everyday problems; even working to get a holder made to contain CHG wipes to be readily accessible by the IV pumps now being used by SICU, MICU, Burn and PICU. She is involved in the Therapeutic Temperature Management protocols as a content expert. Christie has also co-chaired one of the Trauma: Life in the ICU conferences, of which, she has presented many times.
