For the last 7 years, I have witnessed Chris maintain the trust and confidence of all she encounters. She is one of the most caring nurses that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her commitment to the veterans we serve is seen daily in the care that she gives and the kindness she shows. She continues to be an advocate for those that at times do not have a voice. The respect and dignity that she shows not only to the veterans but the staff on a day-to-day basis are amazing. She has been a bright spot and has touched so many lives of those she has cared for and worked alongside. She has gone out of her way to make everyone feel welcomed and loved at the VA, staff included.

During my years of employment at the VA she is one of the most deserving nurses for the Award!! Her kind, loving, calm personality is one that we should all strive to have when working as a nurse. Her love for her job and the Veterans she cares for shows on a DAILY basis, even when no one is watching!
