I had amazing preceptors and instructors, so much so that I would have loved to nominate all of them! But after giving it much thought, Christine Moles is the perfect definition of what a DAISY award represents. Aside from her clinical skills and expertise in the field, she also has a wonderful disposition in her bedside care. She came to Pediatrics to help out in the unit and she did not disappoint. She brought positive attitude to the department in which she was unfamiliar with and took care of an eight year old pre-op patient who was scared, yet through her comfort, the patient and his family quickly reached redemption because of the kindness and wonderful communication skills she embodied. Our unit was very hectic and busy that day, but she took the time to reassure the family and the patient that all is and will be well. As a new graduate nurse, I learned so much from her and she reminded me again why I chose this profession. She is compassionate and genuinely cares for her patients.
