Christine Reyes, BSN, RN

Christine Reyes and I were on shift together one night when I witnessed Chrissie going above and beyond for her patient who was experiencing an anxiety attack due to the severity of the plan of care ensuing. Chrissie had a full assignment but took extra time to calmly address the situation at hand, the medications being used with their expected outcomes, and providing a comforting conversation exhibiting such confidence that the patient's relief and control returned with no additional medications required. Chrissie speaks intelligently and calmly, is an excellent educator, and is a truly compassionate RN to her patients. Her priority is the overall well-being of her patients, in addition to the safe implementation of the plan of care. I watched her use of AIDET completely transform the patient's fear into understanding and acceptance. I would have Chrissie be my RN any day of the week. She is focused on the entirety of the patient's care - physical, emotional, and spiritual. She is an asset to AHS and exhibits PRIDE values in her nursing practice. She should be recognized for her excellence in care.
