September 2024 Honoree
Christine Sossa, RN
Christine’s neighbor became unresponsive after sitting in his hot tub. The neighbor's son found his father unresponsive and pulseless on the ground next to his hot tub and began CPR. Her husband noticed the son's distress and notified her. She ran to the neighbor's house and began to help with CPR as first responders were still on their way. As the need for CPR continued and she and the son were beginning to feel fatigued, she assisted by teaching her husband how to perform proper CPR. She was there to help her neighbors through this tragic event and ensure excellent CPR was delivered and comfort to the family. She is a wonderful example of living our NAH value: Build Community. She was there to assist her neighbors in their hour of need and positively represent Northern Arizona Healthcare.
Thank you, Christine, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
