Christine Townsend, EDD, MSN, BSN, RN, IBCLC
Dr. Christine Anne Townsend, EDD, MSN, BSN, RN, IBCLC, received two nominations from her students:
Christine is the perfect example of what it means to be a good educator! She shows passion for nursing and is a positive light during what can be a stressful environment. Christine is always the first person to encourage us to do better and strive towards going outside our comfort zones. She pushes us to get as much experience as we can and always tries her best to open doors for us to gain more experience.
I am extremely grateful to have had her as my first clinical instructor. She makes me feel confident in my skills and helps me push past any doubts I have about myself. Christine also brings much knowledge to clinical and helps us learn through her wonderful stories of her times in nursing all over the country. I love listening to the stories she has and all the experience she brings to the table.
I wish that everyone could have Christine as their first instructor because she is truly the best! She exemplifies everything the DAISY Award represents, and she deserves this!

I would like to thank Dr. Townsend for being such an amazing clinical instructor this semester. Throughout my years of college, I've never felt very connected with my professors, and while they facilitated my learning, I still felt neutral about school. This semester was different.
Upon meeting Christine, getting to know her, and receiving her teaching, I have gained a newfound love for school that I have not had in a long time. She makes me feel excited to learn, and the way she facilitates our learning is downright magical.
She connects with us, laughs with us, and makes me feel confident in what I am doing in clinical. She is the kind of professor that I hope everyone can experience one day, and one that I hope every professor strives to be. Thank you, Christine!
