Christine Trono, BSN, RN

My mom was in the ICU after a bad fall with a head injury. She had an EEG on admission, leaving goop and residue. At the beginning of the shift, Christine brushed my mom's hair and put it in a beautiful braid. She then spent significant time using gauze and water to clean all the dried blood off her face (she had been admitted the afternoon before). Christine did not have to do any of that, and I think many people would not have done so due to time constraints. This was a big act of kindness that made my mom feel cared for and more willing to see visitors. Christine kept us in the loop, letting us know about tests for the day and what to expect. Toward the end of the day, she made an exception so my kids and I could eat ice cream sundaes for dinner with my mom. She is amazing and went above and beyond.
