Christine was nominated by a patient's caregiver who observed Christine’s continued empathetic care for a specific patient. Wound care is traumatic enough with our patients enduring pain and discomfort, but when a nurse like Christine Is at the bedside, it helps ease this pain. The caregiver stated that he had been accompanying a friend to the wound care center since April 2022 until the discharge in July 2023. His friend was being treated for frostbite to both legs and feet.

“Nurse Christine treated the patient with great compassion and tender loving care during his weekly visits and showed him great patience,” especially in using language line services as his friend’s preferred language was not English. Thank you, Christine, for showing empathy and compassion to every patient. It makes a world of difference when our patients feel this from their caregivers.
